Overview

Dr. Scott Michael Rothenberg was born and raised in the state of Maryland and received his Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  After college, and prior to pursuing a career in dental surgery, Dr. Rothenberg held several medical research positions including a year long project at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.  Dr. Rothenberg received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, graduating in the top ten percent of his class.

Dr. Rothenberg completed his 6 year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital.  He earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 2008. Dr. Rothenberg has received extensive training in anesthesia, dental implantology, bone grafting, dentoalveolar surgery, jaw reconstruction, facial trauma and head and neck pathology.  During residency, he also completed a one-year internship in general surgery where he gained additional surgical training in the intensive care units, vascular, cardiothoracic, transplant, general and plastic surgery services.

Dr. Rothenberg is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He performs the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with a special interest in dental implants. He is an active member of many professional organizations including the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Institute of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and American Medical Association.

When not in the office, Dr. Rothenberg enjoys traveling, skiing and fitness. He also has an interest in contemporary interior design, photography and marine biology. He is also the proud owner of a 4-year old American Bully named Krome.
